Everyone is different so I cannot say what is right for you, but I can say that no couple I know has regretted their decision to have a celebrant-led wedding.
1. Book a basic ceremony at the Registry Office of your choice - it can be anytime as long as the Registrar, witnesses and you two are available - so it may be Monday at 9am - as long as you can get the time off work - book it - even if it is next January and you want a June wedding.
2. On the day - arrive with your 2 witnesses and sign the register and collect your certificate - you have now got the wedding admin sorted! Maybe break open the fizz because now you have the freedom to plan the totally amazing wedding celebration of your dreams - on your terms and whenever / wherever you want it to be.
3. So now you can book your Wedding Celebrant, book your venue (but you are no longer restricted to an indoor wedding room or only in a licensed venue) - so book your favourite woodland venue, maybe talk to your favourite venue about having a marquee and moving the wedding into the grounds, organise a wedding in your favourite local pub or even have it in the back garden and book all your other suppliers.
4. You won’t regret it - in fact you will wonder why you didn't plan to do this in the first place - why?
Well:
• You can have a totally bespoke wedding service - written and performed by a Celebrant who has got to know you over the months before and has written a ceremony just for you.
• You can write your very own vows that mean something special to both of you.
• You have no time limitations on the day - no-one is chasing off to another wedding (your registrar probably would have done!) so relax and enjoy it - after all this is what your day is all about.
• Give your kids or nephew and niece a big role - what about a sand ceremony?
• You can have Albert the Labrador and Peggy the tortoise involved in the ceremony - ring bearers
• Have live music through the ceremony - no need to leave it for just the meal and the evening any more.
• Have candles and twinkling lights - make it magical.
• Get married under a 300 year old tree or next to a babbling brook.
• Incorporate some religious or spiritual aspects - if that is important to you - there are no legal restrictions - so if you want it - have it.
• Have the service anytime of the day or night.
•Enjoy the day of your dreams.

Outdoor weddings are becoming increasingly popular. With the right contingency plan for inclement weather, exchanging vows in the open air can be truly magical. Celebrant-led ceremonies allow complete freedom, as your venue does not need to be licensed so you can think creatively and select a setting that truly matches your dreams.
