I create bespoke ceremonies for occasions that mark meaningful milestones; those that are truly personalised to reflect the beliefs and passions of your life. These ceremonies may include: weddings, civil partnerships, anniversaries, vow renewals, baby namings, adoptions, and blended family unions or even moving into a new home. As a Celebrant, I can also mark the end of chapters in your life with ceremonies for divorce, surviving illness, graduation..

Your memorable day

"I’m passionate about creating bespoke ceremonies that celebrate love, commitment, and new beginnings or end of life in the most meaningful way. Whether it’s a wedding, civil partnership, vow renewal, naming ceremony or funeral, each one is thoughtfully designed to reflect unique stories.

I love weaving elements from individuals' backgrounds into the ceremony, blending them into symbolic gestures that make it truly special. Your ceremony can include children, honour loved ones, or even highlight places that hold deep meaning for you. With a mix of timeless traditions and a fresh, modern touch, I’ll help create a heartfelt and memorable experience that feels warm, authentic, and perfectly you."

Tracy

Hello, I’m Tracy, and I’m here to help you celebrate love and life.

I live in the beautiful Kent countryside with my husband and our two wonderful daughters. I have always had a passion for writing and storytelling, and I consider it a true privilege to be part of such meaningful moments in people’s lives.

It’s an honour to help create ceremonies that reflect your unique journey and celebrate the love you share

I'm a trained celebrant from the Academy of Modern Celebrancy (AMC), and I’m excited to announce that my diary is now open for bookings! If you're looking for a unique, personal, and meaningful service, a Celebrant-led ceremony could be exactly what you're after. Celebrant-led weddings, vow renewals, and commitment ceremonies are wonderful occasions that are completely tailored to you as a couple, celebrating your love in a way that’s deeply personal.

Celebrations of life also allow you to pay tribute to a loved one in a way that suits your family.

My registry office says they can supply their own celebrant.

An Independent Celebrant offers an alternative to the traditional registrar or church service. They are not tied to a single faith or belief system.

They can deliver ceremonies that combine elements from different faiths, beliefs and cultures or deliver totally religious free ceremonies.

An Independent Celebrant can perform ceremonies anywhere but under UK law their ceremonies are not currently legally binding, (although this is currently under review).

Many Civil Registrars now offer to bring a Celebrant with them. This allows slightly more flexibility on the actual service but please do not assume that you will get a full celebrant- package; most importantly, they will not meet with you frequently, support you throughout the entire planning process and lead the ceremony on the day. They are also unable to include anything that contains religious elements in your service. Even a popular song with a religious reference cannot be included. The celebrant provided by the county office will be restricted in what they can offer according to county regulations.

*How different does a sunny day make us all feel? It is now a lovely time to be planning weddings and thinking about all the wonderful venues couples have chosen.

I have now joined ‘Hitched’ as part of my marketing plan and their team are putting me in touch with couples using a huge variety of venues in Kent, Sussex and Surrey.

Maybe some of you are having an Easter wedding?

Wherever you are, I hope your day reflects all the ideas you have dreamed about during the planning process.

Remember the wedding is a day but the memories made will last a lifetime.

Symbolic Rituals

People often ask me about the symbolic rituals that I claim to love.

Have I joined a new cult, become a white witch or become mother earth?

No, to all of the above!

What I have done is realised that a symbolic gesture represents unity. It allows a beautiful, visual and interactive experience for couples, named loved ones, family and friends.

Many rituals are rooted in tradition such as: handfasting, lighting a unity candle, sand, tree, wine or ribbon ceremonies. However, you can choose a ritual of your own to symbolise love and unity. This ritual can be linked to your own beliefs or heritage or it could be linked to a place or token that has become significant to you.

The most important thing to remember, it is your day, your way. With a celebrant-led ceremony you have the flexibility to be traditional, combine traditional with modern or be totally creative.

I can’t wait to work with and write scripts for all my lovely clients.

Funeral Blog

Why would you want to be a funeral celebrant?

My answer is simple - because every individual should have their life story heard and celebrated.

Celebrants offer a great deal of flexibility, allowing families to create ceremonies that are as unique as the individuals they honour. Celebrants can cater for traditional services at a funeral home, funerals for the living or casual gatherings at a family home or special place. Each celebration of life will be written with focus on the deceased’s personality and values. A ceremony may include slideshows, favourite songs, readings and interactive symbolic elements such as flower draping, a dove release, tree planting or a wine ceremony. These personal touches make the service more meaningful for the family and friends and create lasting memories.

What are Living Funerals?

Some people who know they are going to die, do not want to wait until the end for others to share their stories and communicate feelings to the ones closest to them. That is why more and more people are choosing to say it all beforehand from the comfort of their home or favourite place and make memories that last forever. A living funeral rejects the solemnity and gathers people to celebrate the loved one’s life now. It enables families and friends to create new memories, reminisce on the old and start processing their grief.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely – yes. This is something we craft together and then I will submit the final copy to you for approval.

No this is entirely up to you. A celebrant-led ceremony can be designed to include anything you want. You can mix symbolic gesture, prayers, songs etc, together, we create what is perfect for your ceremony.

For a wedding you can either visit the registry office weeks/days before or after your celebrant-led service or you can do both on the same day.

For a funeral the legal part is registering the death and then you can either have a cremation or burial with a celebrant-led service or have a private cremation /burial and a separate celebration of life. Again, there are numerous options available to you.

Celebrants have a network of celebrant friends in their area. The reason we write very detailed and full scripts including stage directions is to allow another celebrant to deliver it if needed.

Yes, as more people move away from the traditional and often sombre style of funerals, they are planning their own ceremonies often with brightness, music and celebration. Some clients are even opting for living funerals where they attend their own celebration of life.

Absolutely, elements can be taken from each religion and introduced via readings, prayers, music or symbolic gestures.

I will help you write your words in a perfect way to suit your style. This will not be using AI because we will want to capture your words, your tone and write in a delivery friendly way just for you. I am also able to help with speeches and original poems.

For the actual ceremony, I am very happy to take on that role and ensure that everything runs smoothly for you. I will take contact details for each of the service providers and liaise with them directly. I will also verbally guide the guests during the ceremony and inform them of the proceedings to follow.
