Springtime
Did any of us fall for an April Fool trick?
The origin of April Fool’s day is often debated but one thought dates back to 1564. New Year’s Activities usually culminated on 1st April but when the Gregorian calendar was introduced, the 1st January was officially adopted as New Year’s day and anyone who forgot to change the date was ridiculed on the 1st April and labelled an April Fool. Am I a fool to believe this?
I had the pleasure of meeting two lovely clients recently who had lost their mother. This lady was so special and lived life to the full which is why I am so glad that we are now able to move away from the pure solemnity of a funeral and celebrate life. Our lives are often enriched by knowing someone and to look back and remember all the good times and listen to their life story is so helpful in the grieving process.
The spring sunshine also reminds me that we are no longer bound by the confines of four walls, we can allow ourselves to think of outdoor events and longer evenings.
